Construction of cowsheds in homes in Feni causing environmental damage, stench

Feni Correspondent

In Feni, cowsheds are being deliberately built in homes. This is causing environmental damage due to the stench of the cowshed's waste and increasing the risk of health damage. As a result, there are allegations that anxiety has arisen among neighbors due to fear of various diseases.

According to various sources, a person named Abdul Hamid deliberately built a cowshed next to the house of Mukim Patwari Prakash Maulana Shamsul Haque and the entrance of Bajal Maulvi's house in the Dakshin Farhad Nagar area of Farhad Nagar Union No. 13 in Feni Sadar Upazila. By doing this, cow dung and urine mixed with the soil and caused environmental damage to the home. As a result, the risk of health damage among children and the elderly is increasing. This has caused anxiety among neighbors due to the fear of various diseases. In addition, guardians prevent children and students studying in schools, colleges, and madrasas from playing for fear of cows attacking them.

Doctors said that due to the environmental damage caused by cow dung and urine mixed with the soil and causing environmental damage to the home, various types of diseases can be transmitted among children and the elderly.

Local UP Member Bashir Ahmed said that the matter was raised several times in the past but no heed was paid.
