Conspiracy being hatched to destroy communal harmony: Hanif
Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif said conspiracies are being hatched by a vested quarter to destroy communal harmony in the country.
"Following the start of the trial of Khaleda Zia, communal conflict is being created through Facebook posts. If we deeply observe the incidents of Ramu and Nasirnagar, it will be registered that these incidence are linked with each other.... these occurrences have been conducted in a planned way," he said.
The AL leader was talking to reporters after visiting the damaged houses, shops and temples in Sahapara village under Lohagara upazila.
He also said, "The incident that happened here (Dighalia union in Narail) is very sad."
Condemning and protesting such incident, he also said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered the authority concerned to take immediate actions in this regard.
He also expressed hope that people, who are involved in the incident, will get exemplary punishment.
Member of the Parliament Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Superintendent of Police Praveer Kumar Roy, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Nizam Uddin Khan Nilu, Mayor of Lohagra Municipality and General Secretary of Upazila Awami League Syed Masiur Rahman and Dighalia Union Parishad Chairman Syed Borhan Uddin, among others, accompanied him.
