Chilahati to be international standard Railway station: Railway Minister

Domar Chilahati Railway Station in Nilphamari will be an international standard railway station.
Railway Minister Advocate Nurul Islam Sujan MP said this during a question and answer session with reporters at Chilahati on Sunday noon.
He also said the project is being implemented to build an international standard railway station in Chilahati.
Up to date and modernized Chilahati railway works are in progress. The work of railway development has already been visible.
Chilahati-Mongla railway will be made operational in June next year. This results in passenger and goods transportation from Chilahati to Mongla.
Apart from India, Nepal, Bhutan can also use this route.
Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Ghosh, Superintendent of Police Mostafizur Rahman, Chilahati Haldibari Railway Project Director Abdul Rahim, Domar Upazila Parishad Chairman Tofail Ahmed, Executive Officer (Acting) Jannatul Ferdous Happy, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Domar Circle) Ali Mohammad Abdullah abd OC Mahmud Un Nabi were present on the occasion.
Brind and Domar, senior officials of the Railway Department, are the president and secretary of the Awami League.
