Chief of Air Staff adorned with rank of Air Chief Marshal

With the kind approval of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the rank of Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan has been elevated from Air Marshal to Air Chief Marshal.
Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan today was adorned with the rank badge of Air Chief Marshal by Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan in presence of the Prime Minister at Ganabhaban here.
Military and civilian high officials were present on the occasion, said an ISPR press release today.
On arrival at air headquarters after adorning the rank badge, the Chief of Air Staff was presented a guard of honour by a smartly turned out BAF Contingent.
After inspecting the guard of honour, the air chief planted a sapling on air headquarters premises. Thereafter, he took part in a special Munajat seeking peace and prosperity of the nation.
