Bus staff killed on Dhaka-Mawa Expressway

A tragic accident on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway claimed the life of a bus staff member named Rifat, who was crushed under his own bus.
The incident occurred Monday morning near the Padma Bridge North Police Station area.
OC of Padma Bridge North Police Station, Md. Zakir Hossain, stated that the accident happened early in the morning at the Weigh Scale intersection near the expressway.
Due to dense fog, the Gangchil Paribahan passenger bus heading towards the Dhaka-Bhanga toll plaza braked sharply. During the sudden stop, Rifat, who was inside the bus near the door, was thrown out onto the road. Tragically, he was crushed under the bus wheels and died on the spot.
OC of Hasara Highway Police, Abdul Qadir Jilani, mentioned that the body has been recovered from the expressway. The victim’s family has been informed, and further legal proceedings will take place upon their arrival.
