Buses of Begum Rokeya University Rangpur (BRUR) have been stopped for two months.

It is learnt that on July 1, the bus movement was stopped due to the general strike of teachers and staff. On July 16, when the incident of Abu Saeed's death caused an uproar across the country, including Rangpur, an emergency syndicate meeting was called that night and the university was announced to be closed for an indefinite period.

Meanwhile, after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government on August 5, the Directorate of Inter-Services Relations (ISPR) opened all educational institutions on August 7. After the formation of the interim government, the Ministry of Education opened all educational institutions again on August 18. Even though the university has opened, the bus has not started yet.

It can be seen from the surface, teachers and students come for some work in the departments and many students go for tuition. Meanwhile, even though the officials work every day, their buses are also stopped. Many officials have also expressed their anger.

Shahinur Alam, a student of Management Information Systems Department, said that the Ministry of Education opened the campus on August 18. Many people come to the campus. get tutoring But as there is no bus, they are in trouble You have to rent an auto. We want to start the bus by appointing the VC and starting the academic activities soon.

Imtiaz Fraizy, a student of Finance and Banking department, said that despite the announcement of the opening of the university, the students are facing many problems due to the closure of the bus service. Due to lack of bus service, many students have to use alternative transport, which is quite difficult both in terms of time and cost. University administration should take urgent measures in this regard so that students can have their regular commute.

Tapas Kumar Goswami, Deputy -registrar of Transport Pool said, "We are ready to start the buses." But there is no director of transport pool. At whose command we will launch. Now there is no one in the campus except the registrar. We will start the bus only when we are instructed.

Registrar Engineer Mohammad Alamgir Chowdhury said, there is no one in the administration now. No one gave me any responsibility. The Ministry of Education has been contacted and the VC will be appointed soon. VC Mr. Actually all the problems will be solved.
