The election of Bhuapur market Development Cooperative Marketing Society Ltd was held peacefully on Friday.

Total number of voters in the election is 1201. Out of this 1159 voters exercised their right to vote.

Elections were held in Bhuapur Government Pilot High School hall room yesterday Friday. This peaceful election started from 9 am and continued till 4 pm.

In the election, Md. Shahjahan Kabir Liton was elected as the president by getting 501 votes on the umbrella symbol. His nearest rival Md. Abdul Karim got 322 votes from Duat Kalam symbol. Md. Ariful Islam Arju was elected for the post of General Secretary by getting 430 votes. His nearest rival Md. Riaz Morshed got 344 votes for Rooster symbol. Also, Md. Salam Sarkar Tuboil symbol got 750 votes for the post of Vice President. His closest rival, Md. Peer Ali Gur Garhi got 360 votes.

Ibrahim Khalil (lock and key votes received 965), Md. Aminul Islam (hand fan, votes received 890), Md. Khairul Islam (Kalsi, votes received 861) Md. Habibur Rahman (mobile, votes received 735), Md. Alim (ladder) , votes received 731), Md Appel Mahmud ( palm trees, votes received 673).

After the counting of votes, at around 12.15 pm, Chief Election Commissioner of Bhuyapur Bazar Bankers Association Md Ghiyas Uddin, Assistant Commissioner Md Moniruzzaman Tarafdar, Assistant Commissioner Md Jasim Uddin and Presiding Officer Md Abdur Rahim announced the result privately.

Before this, voting and voting started under tight security. After a long day, voters were overjoyed to vote in the Bhuapur Bazar Cooperative Society elections in a peaceful and festive atmosphere.
