Masudul Hasan Masud, Bhuapur (Tangail)

On this day, under the command of Bongobir Abdul Quader Siddiqui Bir Uttam, the company commander of the liberation war, Khandkar Habibur Rahman of Bamanhata village of Bhuapur upazila of Tangail, Noor Hossain Talukdar (grapes) of Nalin village of Gopalpur upazila, Kazi Ashraf Humayun Bangal of Kalihati upazila, the current Minister of Agriculture Dr. About 400 freedom fighters under the leadership of Abdur Razzak engaged in a frontal battle with the Pakistani invasion forces and the Razakars to free Bhuapur from the invaders.

Abdul Qaddus, a brave freedom fighter of Chhabisha village of upazila and Abdus Salam, a brave freedom fighter of Khairpara village of Ghatail upazila, were martyred in this war. Many freedom fighters were injured in this battle. The members of the Pak invasion forces escaped but managed to capture 108 Razakars.

On the occasion of this Invader Freedom Day, Bhuapur Invader Freedom Day was celebrated today at Bhuapur in Tangail under the initiative of Liberation War Research Council.

On Sunday, 8th October at 10:30 AM at Bhuapur Independence Complex Auditorium, a discussion meeting was organized by Liberation War Research Council on the occasion of Bhuapur Hanadar Mukt Day celebration. The meeting was presided over by Shafiqul Islam Mukul, president of Liberation War Research Council, Bhuapur.

Hero freedom fighter Masudul Haque Masud Mayor Bhuapur Municipality and President Bhuapur Upazila Awami League were present as chief guests. Hero freedom fighter Abdul Hakeem Birpratik, Hero freedom fighter Kazi Ashraf Humayun Bangal, Hero freedom fighter Md Fazlul Haque Birpratik, Hero freedom fighter Khoda Bux Mia, Hero freedom fighter Abdul Hamid and other freedom fighters of the upazila, journalists and various civil society people were present.
