Barishal District administration led by Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Mohammad Delwar Hossain monitored the market of daily necessities on Wednesday.
He visited the largest wholesale market of Barishal city located on Bazar Road. During this time he talks to buyers and sellers about various market issues.
Deputy Director Local Government Barishal Gautam Barai, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Barishal Lusikant Hajong , Assistant Commissioner Md. Rabiul Hasan Bhuiyan and Md. Abu Zafar Majumdar, Assistant Director National Consumer Rights Protection Directorate Barisal Sumi Rani Mitra, Upazila Food Control Officer, student representatives and others were present.
During the inspection, they warned the traders about the sale of goods at the prices prescribed in the Agricultural Products Marketing Act and the Consumer Rights Protection Act, display price lists, preserve vouchers and sell the goods at fixed prices and also raise the legal issues before the buyers.
