A bank officer named Hriday Chhatri (24) tragically died in a motorcycle accident in Kulaura, Moulvibazar. The accident took place on Saturday, April 1 at around 8 am in the area called Holichara of Brahmanbazar on Moulvibazar-Kulaura road.

The deceased Hriday Chhatri is the only son of the tea clerk Kangkhan Chhatri of Madhavpur tea garden in Kamalganj upazila and the nephew of journalist Sajal Chhatri of Sylhet. He recently joined Trust Bank Sylhet branch. Hridiya was the eldest among a brother and sister in the family.

It is known that Hridoy Chhatri left Kamalganj for Sylhet on Saturday morning for bank work. Hriday leaves his home in Madhavpur tea garden in the morning to go to his new workplace bank in Sylhet. When the service and Kulaura Police Station were informed, a team led by Fire Service Warehouse Inspector Md Sulaiman Ahmad and Police Station SI Parimal Chandra Das reached the spot and recovered the dead body and brought it to the police station. Later, the Kulaura police station contacted his family and informed them of his death. Meanwhile, hearing the news of the untimely death of the only son, his family is mourning.

Kulaura Fire Service Warehouse Inspector Md Solaiman Ahmad said, it is not known how the accident happened. After receiving the news, we went to the spot at 8:30 in the morning and recovered the body. But I think any big car can crush that bank official. He has serious injuries on his head.

Kulaura police station officer in-charge Abdus Salek said that the boy's family has applied to the district commissioner to take the body without autopsy. However, a case of death has been registered in Kulaura police station in this incident.
