Bangladeshi American student Maisha Khan achieves US President Education Excellence Award

Maisha Khan, a Bangladeshi American student has achieved US President's Education Excellence Award -2021 for her outstanding academic contribution recently.
It is learnt that Misha Khan, elder daughter of eminent businessman and former politician of Bangladesh and Nusrar Khan got the Award from New Field High School located at Long Island City in New York. She also did her graduation from that school this year.
Her parents attended the graduation party and said, they are very happy over the success and they are hopeful of best result in higher education at Stony Brook University, one if the reputed educational institutions of USA.
The award certificate was signed by US President Joe Biden and Maisha also got the same award in 2014. That certificate was signed by Brack Obama.
Moin U Khan and Nusrat Khan hailed from Vhandaria Upazila in Pirojpur district of Bangladesh.
It is mentionable that this award is being given under the President's Education Awards Program ( PEAD) on behalf of President of USA and United States Secretary of Education. PEAP was founded in 1983 with a view to recognizing American students in elementary, middle and high school for their educational achievements. In the program, students have to acquire at least 90 per cent or above marks in all subjects.
In the recent years, more Bangladeshi origin students are getting this award and other recognitions in education arena in the hard competition with mainstream students like Americans.
