Bangladesh’s renowned fashion house “Signature Collection” has opened an outlet in New York, the first of its kind in the USA, to cater with the growing demand of Bangladeshi apparels of the expatriates. This is also their maiden outlet abroad.

The outlet, located at 90-03, Merrick Blvd, Jamaica, was formally launched through a grand celebration on 5th January, 2025 in the presence of a huge number of Bangladeshi diaspora. The celebration commenced by cutting a cake by founder and CEO of the fashion house Ms Farzana Islam Rumki.

On the opening day, a huge number of customers thronged to the beautifully decorated outlet and purchased clothes, mainly salwar-kamiz and sarees, by taking advantage of the discount. The discount will continue for six more days, said Ms Rumki, the CEO of “Signature Collection”.

The fashion house, which embarked on their venture in Bangladesh in 2017, has a total of five outlets in Bangladesh—four in Dhaka and one in Chattogram.

Farzana Rumki said they are very much delighted and proud of opening their first outlet abroad. She said a huge number of Bangladeshis are residing in the USA, especially in New York, known as the commercial capital, and the outlet has been opened here keeping in mind the increasing demand of the Bangladeshi apparels.

Rumki said they earlier arranged fair of their products in different cities in the USA and received huge response from the expatriate Bangladeshis from these fairs. She sought sincere cooperation and doa from the Bangladeshi diaspora to make their venture successful.

Rumki added that they have a plan to open their outlets in other Bangladeshi populated US cities as well as other countries. “We have 8.50 lakh online followers at home and abroad, who are providing inspiration to us frequently,” she further said.
