Bangabandhu Hall, Bangmata Hall champions in DU inter-hall debating competition

Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall Debating Club won the Bengali Debate Championship and Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnecha Mujib Hall Debate Club won the English Debate Championship in the 'Inter-Hall Newish Debating Competition 2023' organized by Dhaka University Debating Society (DUDS).
The runner-up in Bengali debate is Vijoy Ekttar Hall Debate Club and the runner-up in English debate is Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque Hall Debate Club.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman was present as the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony of this competition organized at Professor Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium on Friday (June 2) and distributed prizes among the winners.
President of DUDS. Mahbubur Rahman Masum presided over the award distribution ceremony. Associate professor of political science department of the university Ainul Islam and moderator of DUDS Tawhida Jahan spoke as special guests. DUDS general secretary Fuad Hossain conducted the program.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman highlighted the importance of debate and said that debate plays an important role in solving various complex issues. The Vice-Chancellor expressed hope that students will develop themselves as liberal, humane, non-communal, analytical and efficient human resources through regular debate practice.
