Allegations have been raised that the government bricks of the abandoned drains of BADC are being used to construct residential houses and cow sheds in private houses. It is alleged that this incident is happening with the connivance of an engineer of BADC.

BADC Kaliganj Zone constructed an irrigation canal in the crop field of Panchua village in Tok Union of Kapasia during the financial year 2012/13. Later it was abandoned and another irrigation canal was constructed at the site by laying underground pipes. During the construction of this irrigation canal late last year, an old abandoned hundred meters Irrigation bricks have not been addressed.

Residents complain Khokon son of deceased Abdul Malek of Panchua village with the connivance of BADC He has been embezzling it. He has taken out about 15/20 thousand bricks from the abandoned drain. And he is building a house in his house with these bricks. He went there on Monday and got the truth. When he went there, it was seen that one such house is in the south-east of his house. The construction work of half-baked house is going on. Apart from this, it is said that a cow shed is also being built in this brick house.

In this regard, Khokon Mia, accused of Panchua village, said that he used some bricks with the permission of BADC engineer Iftekhar Sahib. Iftekhar Hossain, assistant engineer of Kaliganj zone of BADC, said that no one was allowed to take the bricks of the abandoned irrigation canal. He will inquire about the matter and talk to the higher authorities. Take action.
