
Army-led raid in Narail: 3 arrested with hun, local weapons

A special joint operation led by the Bangladesh Army in the Kalia upazila of Narail has resulted in the arrest of three individuals along with a locally-made shooter gun, several bullets, and sharp homemade weapons.
The operation was carried out between late Saturday night and Sunday morning in three separate houses located in Purulia West Para under Purulia Union. The Bangladesh Army collaborated with local law enforcement in the coordinated raid.
The arrested individuals have been identified as: Md. Anis Sheikh (50), son of Sultan Sheikh, Nazim Uddin Sheikh (45), son of the late Abdur Razzak abd Md. Chanchal Molla (45), son of the late Enamul Molla
Authorities recovered one locally-manufactured shooter gun, several rounds of ammunition, and sharp homemade weapons from the scene. Legal action is currently underway against the detainees.
Local residents have expressed relief following the successful operation and praised the effort to enhance public safety. Law enforcement officials confirmed that such operations will continue to curb crime in the region.
