A campaign and leaflet distribution campaign was held with the slogan "Reduce the use of plastic, use alternatives" on Wednesday.
Udayankur Sheba Sangstha organized a human chain and leaflets were distributed among various shops and people in the market and the public at Tinkona More Zero Point in Phulbari Upazila of Kurigram. The campaign was launched by Action Aid Bangladesh in collaboration with Activista Kurigram.
Speaking at the event were Sidratul Muntaha, representative of Action Aid Bangladesh, Nurnabi Islam, program officer of Udayankur Sheba Sangstha (USS), Maruf Sheikh, representative of Activista Kurigram, Swarna Biswas, Shapla Rani.
Present at the event were Prarthana Halder, Sponsor Officer of Udayankur Seva Sangstha (USS), members of Activista Kurigram are hopeful that today's campaign and leaflet distribution will create public awareness among the people, which will contribute to preventing environmental pollution.
