All achievements of Bengalis come thru' sacrifices : Salman F Rahman

Prime Minister's Adviser on Private Industries and Investments and Member of Parliament for Dhaka-1 Constituency Salman F. Rahman urged everyone to remember those sacrificers who are working dedicatedly for the country and the people.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the discussion and award distribution ceremony organized on the occasion of Great Martyr's Day and International Mother Language Day in the big field of Joypara Model High School of Dohar Upazila at 1 o'clock on Wednesday.

He also said that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had developed the struggle for the right of mother tongue. Following his path, this is our right today. Unfortunately, efforts have been made to erase the contribution of the Father of the Nation in the language movement. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina brought out a book on the intelligence report of that time. In those intelligence reports, Bangabandhu's contribution to the language movement has emerged. Many people in our country say that he was in jail at that time.

Why was he actually in jail? He was put in jail because of the movement. Today Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government has nurtured the spirit and ideals of Ekush and has created a way to walk with head held high in twenty courts. By declaring the Jai Bangla slogan as the national slogan, the Prime Minister wanted to convey to the people of the world that we are a victorious nation, we have achieved victory, we will not walk with our heads bowed, we will not walk with our heads bowed. Today, he has built digital Bangladesh with various services including bank-insurance, private TV channels, mobile phones in everyone's hands, broadband internet services at the union level, agriculture, land rent payment, medical care.

Besides, various opportunities have been created for business. Prime Minister's goal is that there will be no hungry or homeless people in Bangladesh.

In the event, Salman F. Rahman addressed the parents of incoming students of Dohar Upazila and said, "You should develop a friendly relationship with your children. You will try to convince your children that education is the backbone of the nation." Education helps people to build a righteous and positive life. He congratulated the parents of Dohar for ongoing education. He also promised special support for meritorious students.

At this time, he told the residents of Dohar-Nawabganj that the project of the Ministry of Water Resources to protect the banks of the Kaliganga river in Nawabganj upazila and the Padma river dredging project from Mazhirchar to Muksudpur via Narishabazar in Doha upazila and the project of the left bank of the river is in the final stage. Also, two roads under the Directorate of Roads and Highways.

The development works have been approved in Eknek meeting. Before this, he landed in a helicopter at the Jaypara Model Pilot High School ground in Dohar. During this time, he laid wreaths at the Jatiya Shaheed Minar outside the school.

Under the chairmanship of Dohar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Zakir Hossain, IFIC Bank Vice Chairman Ahmed Sayan F Rahman, reserved female MP Anar Koli Putul, Dohar Upazila Parishad Chairman and Upazila Aeami League President Md Alamgir Hossain, Town Mayor and Upazila Senior Vice President Md. Almach Uddin, General Secretary of Upazila Awami League Nurul Haque Bepari, Secretary General of Fazlur Rahman Foundation heroic freedom fighter Abdur Rauf Molla, Dohar Circle Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Ashraful Alam, Dohar Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Md. Azharul Islam were present.
