6 students get unconscious due to loud sound of lightnings in Kalapara

Six students fainted due to the thunderous sound are under treatment at Kalapara Upazila Health Complex in Patuakhali. They are Jasmine Moni, Tanima, Tahura, Karima, Arabi, Unmehani. All are 6th grade students of Maudubi Secondary School in the neighboring upazila Rangabali under Patuakhali district. The incident took place on Wednesday at around 11:30 a.m. during class.
Arbi, a student who came for treatment, said that Sujith sir was taking our English class at that time. Suddenly loud noise. I saw fire in front of my eyes. I don't know what happened after that.
Teacher Sujit told the reporters that everyone in the class was frightened by the sudden loud noise. Students fainted at the thunderous sound.
Alauddin Khan, head teacher of the school, said that 11 students and one teacher fell ill in the incident. We are trying our best to ensure proper treatment for them. Besides, the students have been sent to Kalapara Health Complex for better treatment.
Dr. Junayet Hossain Lelin, doctor of Kalapara Health Complex, said that unconscious students are being treated.
