Md. Nazmul, Morelganj (Bagerhat)

Non-governmental organization World Vision Bangladesh has distributed 6,300 ducks among 630 families of malnourished children in 5 unions including Morelganj Municipality of Bagerhat for financial development and nutritional needs of malnourished children's families.

On Tuesday at 11 o'clock at Upazila Sadar Abdul Aziz Memorial Bahumukhi Secondary School grounds, a duck distribution program was held among 210 malnourished children's families of Sadar Union including Morelganj municipality under the initiative of World Vision Bangladesh Morelganj AP. Morelganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer SM Tarek Sultan inaugurated the event, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Badruddoza, World Vision Bangladesh Morelganj Area Program Officer, Milita Sarkar, (Y, P) Nandita Richhil, (F, C) Shiuli Akhtar,were also present Morelganj animal hospital live stock Servicing Provider Jaydev Kumar Paik, Aziz Memorial Secondary School Principal Md Sakhawat Hossain and many others people presented in this event.At the same time, this program of duck distribution was conducted in the upazila, Barikhali, Khaulia, Nishanbaria and Jiudhara Union. About the distribution of ducks, Milita Sarkar, Morelganj AP program officer of the organization, said that on behalf of World Vision Bangladesh, a total of 630 families of 5 unions including municipalities have distributed 4-month-old 'Khaki Campbell' ducks free of charge to each family.

The beneficiary families of the ducks were suffering from nutritional crisis. They have been trained in duck rearing. He also said that the ducks will play a helpful role in overcoming the nutritional and economic crisis of those families.
