3 women detained from Hijaldi border in Satkhira

Three Bangladeshi nationals have been detained from the Hijaldi border of Kalaroa upazila in Satkhira while illegally crossing to India.
Three of those arrested are women. A special raid team of Satkhira Battalion (33 BGB) arrested them on Monday (September 9) morning.
The arrested are Monika Khatun (21), daughter of Md. Monir of Shikdarpara village, Naukhola police station of Sherpur district, Ritu Akhtar Sumaiya (15), daughter of Mohan Mia of Mohishpur village of Nabinagar police station, Brahmanbaria district, Maryam Akhter Julie (15).
Based on secret information, the BGB arrested the three women from a place called Sultanpur inside Bangladesh, 200 yards from the responsible Main Pillar 16 of Hijaldi BOP of Satkhira Battalion (33 BGB). Battalion (33 BGB) commander Lt. Col. Md. Ashraful Haque confirmed the truth of the matter and said,
The arrested have been handed over to Kalaroa police station for further legal action.
