169 FFs get Smart ID cards, digital certificates in Nakla

Smart ID cards and digital freedom fighter certificates have been issued to 169 freedom fighters in Nakla upazila of Sherpur district.
On this occasion, a distribution program was organized in Upazila Muktijoddha Complex Auditorium under the chairmanship of Upazila Muktijoddha Command Council Administrator and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Bulbul Ahmed on Thursday afternoon.
Upazila Parishad Chairman and Upazila Awami League Joint Secretary Shah Md Borhan Uddin present as the chief guest. Former Commander of Upazila Muktijoddha Command Council FF Abul Mansur conducted the program.
General Secretary of Upazila Awami League FF Shafiqul Islam Zinnah, former Commander of District Freedom Fighters Command Council Nurul Islam Hiru, heroic freedom fighters Md Abdul Karim and many others spoke.
Among others, Upazila Awami League Acting President Ambia Khatun, Municipal Mayor and Upazila Awami League Joint Secretary Hafizur Rahman Liton, leaders of Nakla Press Club, local journalists of different media, more than 160 freedom fighters and family members of the FF were present.
According to the office of the Upazila Muktijoddha Command Council, there are a total of 362 freedom fighters in the upazila. Among them, 169 freedom fighters were given smart ID cards and digital certificates of FF.
It is known that a freedom fighter will get free bus travel by road and free air travel once a year by issuing the smart ID card. Besides, they will get special privileges in different services including the health department.
