Women Hope Foundation has awarded scholarships to 10 meritorious and underprivileged women students of Public Administration Department of Comilla University (CuC). Certificates were handed over to the scholarship recipients at the 'WHF Scholarship Award' function organized by the Department of Public Administration and Women Hope on Tuesday in the virtual class room of the university. The student of the department is under the supervision of Maisha Subha Promir and the head of the department. Shamsunnahar presided over the event as the chief guest, CuC Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. AFM Abdul Moin. Women Hope Foundation Chairman Abdul Muqaddim bin Mustainur Rahman and General Secretary and Co-Founder Dilshad Jamal Mita were present as special guests.

Abdul Mukadim, chairman of the foundation, said that any effort comes from our discussion, and if there is effort, success will come. Also in any discussion we think of working for the backward women of this country. In view of that, I formed the Women Hope Foundation. We first started with the idea of working for single mothers. We know that a single mother has to go through many complications in the society. Society's attitude towards them is not favorable in many ways. Our foundation was created from the idea of standing by their side. We also work on climate change and women's health. In continuation of that, we are providing scholarships to the girls of this university. We think women will move forward through this.

In the speech of the chief guest, Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdul Moin said that this scholarship of Women Hope will play a helpful role in increasing the empowerment of our female students. I think it will help not only the students but also our university to move forward. Not only is it helping students financially, but it will also help them advance their careers. These students will play a role in the development of Bangladesh in the future. I thank the Foundation Chairman and all concerned for including our students in their programme. I would call for such scholarships to be arranged for students of other departments besides public administration.

He said to the students, you have seen that many scholarships have been given in our university. We have awarded Vice-Chancellor Scholarships to 406 meritorious and financially challenged students from our own funds. If I am a student, I have given scholarship for sports. As the Vice Chancellor I am expanding new facilities to enhance the capabilities of my students. We are committed to enhancing the image of the University. This will be achieved through academic practice, research, scholarship and student development. My students will become good citizens of the country through respect and responsibility. He announced the Dean's Award.

President of the program Professor Dr. Shamsunnahar thanked everyone present and announced the end of the program. Among others, the professor of public administration department was present at the event. Rashidul Islam Sheikh, Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta Hall Provost Zia Uddin, Women Hope Foundation Treasurer Hafizur Rahman, founding member Habiba Sultana along with teachers and students of Public Administration Department.
