In Sylhet city's Queen Bridge area, a young man named Dalim Ahmed was killed by stabbing at around 11:30 PM on Thursday.
The deceased, Dalim, was the son of Lokman Miya from Merenga village in Mymensingh district.
Sylhet Metropolitan Police reported that on Thursday night, two friends were hanging out in the Queen Bridge area.
At one point, Dalim was killed by a stab wound inflicted by his friend. Upon receiving the news, senior police officers visited the scene. Although the exact reason for the incident is unknown, a source suggested that the murder might be related to a robbery.
The matter was confirmed by Mohammad Saiful Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media Officer) of Sylhet Metropolitan Police. He stated that the incident likely occurred due to a dispute among robbers. Operations are underway to arrest those involved.
