Workshop on Citizen Involvement in Government Procurement held in Rangamati

The current government has taken various steps to ensure 100% transparency in all procurement processes. One of the ways to increase transparency and accountability is citizen engagement. Citizens have the right to know various information about government procurement.
The speakers made these remarks at a workshop titled Citizen Involvement in Government Procurement held at the Rangamati Deputy Commissioner's Conference Room on Thursday at 11 am.
The speakers also said that the government has made procurement-related policies to inform the public. A website has been created to make it corruption-free. All information related to procurement of every office in the country can be found through this website.
Md. Nasimur Rahman Sharif, Director (Joint Secretary) of BPPA-IMED, Ministry of Planning, was the chief guest at the workshop, chaired by Rangamati Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Habib Ullah.
Also present at the event were Afroza Parveen, Director (Deputy Secretary) of BPPA-IMED of the Ministry of Planning, Ahmed Shafi, Executive Engineer of Rangamati LGED, Sabuj Chakma, Executive Engineer of Rangamati Roads and Highways Department, Subrata Barua, Assistant Engineer of Rangamati Public Health Department,Officials from various departments of the district were present at the workshop.
