Husband Noor Jamal escaped after killing his wife Roksana Begum (32) with a chapati due to a family quarrel in Rupganj of Narayanganj. At that time, when the five-year-old girl screamed for paradise, the bigoted father injured her.

The murder occured in the rented house of Shaheed Mizi in Tetlab area of Tarab Municipality in the early hours of Saturday.

Deceased Roksana is the daughter of Shajahan Howladar of Amtali police station of Tarikata village in Barisal. It is reported that Shishu Jannat is currently battling death at Dhaka Medical College.

Hasan, the brother of the deceased, said that he also lives in the adjacent room in the same house. 8 years ago when Roksana Adamjee was working at Epijet, they met and fell in love. At some point they got married. Their family quarrel was going on since some time. Often he beat Rosina.

A year ago, during a fight, Roksana was hit on the head and injured. Then bring them to me from there. They had a fight yesterday evening. Then they slept together as usual. Nurjamal called me at 5:30 in the morning and told me that Roksana was seriously ill.

Immediately I went there and saw the door of the room open and my sister's frozen body lying on the floor. Jannat, injured by the weapon, stood and moaned. Screaming local people rushed to rescue them. Later Jannat was quickly rescued and admitted to Dhaka Medical College. He is now in a claw-to-death fight.

In this regard, OC/Investigator of Rupganj Police Station Zubair Hossain said that it is believed that the husband Noor Jamal hacked his wife Rozina to death due to a family dispute.

The body was recovered and sent to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue. Efforts are on to arrest the murderer Noor Jamal. Besides, the police are working to uncover the real mystery of the murder.
