We want foreign friends, not masters: Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, don't consider the trust of the people of the country as a blessing from the in-laws. Elections are for those who love the people. We will not tolerate anyone looking at us with red eyes. We want foreign friends, not masters.
He also said that the previous government killed, disappeared, kidnapped, looted houses, offices, courts and demolished them with bulldozers. Not only Jamaat, but every patriotic party and the common people have also been subjected to such torture.
They have cancelled the registration of Jamaat, banned Jamaat. Thousands of scholars and Ulema of the country have been dragged in handcuffs and taken to jail. He said, Allah is the one who gives honor. Allah gives honor to whomever He wants and takes it away when necessary. They shot indiscriminately at the chests of students and the public during the movement because they had no love for people. Jamaat has tried to reach the homes of all the martyrs of this movement. It has stood by all the injured as much as possible.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said these in his speech as the chief guest at the workers' conference organized by the district Jamaat-e-Islami at the Nawab Siraj-ud-Daula Government College ground in Natore at 10 am on Friday.
Natore District Jamaat Ameer Prof Dr. Mir Nurul Islam presided over the meeting.
The conference, moderated by Secretary Prof Md. Sadequr Rahman, was addressed as a guest by Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Central Executive Council Member Principal Md. Shahabuddin, Central Organizing Secretary Rafiqul Islam, Executive Council Member Mobarak Hossain, recently outgoing Central President of Islami Chhatra Shibir Manjurul Islam, Central Working Council Member and former Mayor of Chapainawabganj Municipality Principal Nazrul Islam, Pabna District Amir Abu Taleb Mandal, Natore District Jamaat Nayeb-e-Amir Prof Md. Yunus Ali and Principal Delwar Hossain Khan, Joint Secretary Atiqul Islam Russell and Prof Maulana Abdul Hakim, among others.
