Uttara restaurant fire under control

A fire that broke out at a restaurant in the capital’s Uttara area on Friday morning, has been brought under control.
“Seven people have been rescued in the incident,” Fire Service and Civil Defence Inspector (Media Cell) Md Anwarul Islam told the Daily Sun.
At 10:38am, members of the FSCD were alerted to the fire that originated at Love Leen Bangla Restaurant, located on Shah Makhdum Avenue in Sector -12, according to the Media Cell.
The first unit reached the spot at 10:44am, it said.
Love Leen Bangla Restaurant is housed on the ground floor of a six-storey building. Thick black smoke also covered other floors during the incident.
“A total of twelve firefighting units tamed the blaze at 2:02pm,” Anwarul said.
The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
