The role of the July Mass Uprising is undeniable in building a new Bangladesh free from discrimination. He called upon all stakeholders to work together to fulfill the expectations of the new generation by embracing the spirit of July.
Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh, Professor Dr. S. M. A. Faiz, called for building a new Bangladesh free from discrimination in the spirit of the July Mass Uprising.
He made this remark as the chief guest at a discussion meeting titled "July - Beyond Boundaries" on the occasion of the first anniversary of the July Mass Uprising on Thursday.
The event was organized at the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Hong Kong. Consul General Dr. Shah Mohammad Tanvir Monsur presided over the meeting.
Speakers at the event included Dewan Saiful Alam Masud, President of the Bangladesh Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong; community representatives Md. Zafar Ali, Golam Mostafa, Dr. Azad Rahman, Md. Zahirul Islam, Md. Imam Hossain Kamrul, Farhana Sultana; Khairul Islam Nizami, General Secretary of the Bangladesh Association of Hong Kong; and Imran Al Ikram, President of the Bangladesh Students’ Association, Hong Kong, among others.

Consul General Dr. Shah Mohammad Tanvir Monsur, in his speech, urged everyone to play their proper role from their respective positions in building a beautiful, discrimination-free Bangladesh by embracing the ideals of the July Uprising. He instructed all officials and staff of the consulate to uphold the spirit of July in their service delivery activities.
