Two shop owners fined in Hathazari

In Hathazari, Chattogram , two shop owners were fined two thousand taka by conducting a mobile court under the Consumer Rights Act for monitoring the market to control the price of goods.
The operation was carried out on Monday noon under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Lutfun Nahar Sharmin of the mobile court at Madanhat Bazar of Fatepur Union upazila.
During the operation, two shop owners of the market were fined a total of Tk 2,000 in separate cases under the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009 due to multiple offenses including not displaying the price list of the products and not being able to display the purchase vouchers in the various shops of the market. The Digital Cash Register (DCR) The shop owners are warned about keeping the purchase receipt and displaying the price list compulsorily in the shop. During the operation, Hathazari Model Police Station assisted with a team and employees of the Upazila Land Office.
Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Lutfun Nahar Sharmin of the mobile court confirmed the campaign and said that such a public interest would continue
