Selim, who suffered a bullet injury on head during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in Narayanganj, has been undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) for a long time. He underwent an emergency surgery on Monday.

Badar Uddin Sohel, general secretary Dr. Nasim, Swechchhasebak Dal vice president Dr. Jahedul Kabir Zahid, Jubo Dal's assistant health affairs secretary and DAB's vice-president Dr. Jahangir Hossain, Chhatra Dal's vice-president Dr. Awal, Swechchhasebak Dal assistant health affairs secretary Dr. Mizanur Rahman, former Chhatra Dal's health secretary Dr. Ershad Mia, private medical and dental college Chhatra Dal's joint general secretary Dr. Momi Ansari and local DAB leaders were present at this time.
