Most of the development works of Sylhet City Corporation ( SCC) have not been done by all city corporations contractors. They do all the work from the beginning of any development work to purchasing materials and completing the work. As a result, they are equal partners with CCIC in Sylhet's development.

The CEO of SCC also said, development is ongoing in Sylhet, through this organization of yours, you will always be well organized.

Sylhet City Corporation Executive Officer ( CEO) Mohammad Rezai Rafin Sarkar said this while speaking as the chief guest at the oath-taking, inauguration and reception ceremony of the newly elected working committee of the Sylhet City Corporation Contractor Welfare Association.

The swearing-in, inauguration and reception ceremony of the newly elected executive committee was held on Wednesday night at the hall room of a hotel in Sylhet organized by the Contractor Welfare Association.

The ceremony was presided over by the newly elected president Masum Iftekhar Rasul Shihab and conducted by the general secretary Enayet Ahmed Moni.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Election Commissioner Zahir Hossain Tuhin administered the oath to 22 members of the newly elected executive committee in the first session. Convener Dilar Ahmed led the income and expenditure accounts of the previous day.

The special guests at the event were Sylhet City Corporation Chief Engineer Nur Azizur Rahman, Sylhet City Corporation Superintendent Engineer Ali Akbar, Sylhet Press Club President Ikramul Kabir, LGED Association President Mahmudul Hossain Tofa, Ganapurta Association President Sohel Ahmed Chowdhury, Education Association President Ataur Rahman, Zila Parishad Association Convener Belal Ahmed, LGED General Secretary Abul Kalam, Education General Secretary Golam Kibria, Ganapurta General Secretary Darul Islam Chowdhury Dara, City Vice President Sohebul Haque Shoaib, and others were present.
