Various programmes were arranged at Tajumaddin in Bhola on the birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day on Friday organized by Tajumaddin Upazila Awami League and its front organizations, with cooperation of Upazila Fisheries League.

A cultural island evening was held with 5 thousand fishermen. Dwip Bandhu Alhaj Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shaon, Member of Parliament of Bhola-3 Constituency, spoke as the chief guest.

He said that Sheikh Hasina's contribution to the development and progress of Bangladesh is immense, under the leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina, autocracy has been ended, democracy has been restored, and the right to vote and rice has been established for Bengalis. A smile has appeared on the faces of the sad people of Bengal. Bangladesh has achieved self-sufficiency in food.

The trial of the murderers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu and the murderous anti-humanity war criminals of 1971 have been completed and the verdict has been executed. Bangladesh, which once struggled to sustain its existence due to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's opportune leadership, competence, dedication, talent-mindedness, skill, creativity, liberal democratic vision and visionary leadership, is now moving forward in a new journey of world conquest.

Bangladesh has been established as a self-respecting nation in the World Assembly. He also said that during the tenure of the current government, many institutions have been established in this upazila in various sectors including roads, bridges, culverts, agriculture, health, education-culture, electricity, social development and spending thousands of crores of taka.

Numerous small and large development projects worth thousands of crores of rupees are underway. Leaders of various organizations including Awami League spoke.
