Report in The Country Today : Health administration seals Mother and Child Diagnostic Center in Ajmiriganj

After the news was published in the English daily newspaper The Country Today on January 23, 2025, under the headline "Mother and Child Diagnostic Center is operating in Ajmiriganj without paying attention to administrative approval", on January 28, 2025, the Ajmiriganj Mother and Child Diagnostic Center was inspected and all the rooms of the diagnostic department were sealed and the service pharmacy was instructed to produce valid documents within the next month.
In the light of the instructions of Dr. Ratnadeep Biswas, Civil Surgeon of Habiganj Health Department, a team led by Dr. Abhijit Pal, Resident Medical Officer of this department, under the supervision of Dr. Md. Iqbal Hossain, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer, sealed the lab of the Mother and Child Diagnostic Center in Ajmiriganj Bazar and instructed the service pharmacy to complete the licensing process within the next one month, we were informed.
The Country Today newspaper was praised by Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Iqbal Hossain for providing information to close such undocumented diagnostic centers and called for such assistance in the future.
