RAB-13 carried out an anti-drug raid in Hatibandha, Lalmonirhat on Saturday night. During the operation near Dhoikhawa Bazar, they arrested a 21-year-old youth, Sohel Rana, with 1,900 yaba pills.
Sohel Rana is from Amjhol village under Gotamari Union. RAB said legal action has been taken, and more investigations are going on to catch others involved in drug trading.
Locals said drug trade has been spreading in the area for a long time. They welcomed the raid and demanded regular operations to stop drugs.
RAB assured that their special drives against drugs will continue.
