PSC to re-announce results of 46th BCS

Staff Correspondent

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has decided to re-announce the results of the 46th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination to ensure transparency, fairness, and impartiality in the recruitment process for the highest level of public services.

Apart from this, the commission has also decided to retake viva voce for those qualified in the 44th BCS written examinations and reexamine the answer papers of the 45th BCS written examinations involving the third examiners.

The decision was taken by the newly appointed eight members of the PSC during their meeting held at the commission office in Dhaka on Monday.

In a press release issued this afternoon, the PSC said the results of the preliminary examination for the 46th BCS were initially published on 9 May this year and a total of 10,638 candidates were selected for the written examination.

In order to address the potential disparities, the PSC has decided to re-announce the results, considering an additional number of candidates equally eligible for the written examination alongside those already selected.

The PSC members also discussed the issue of question paper leakage in different card and non-card examinations.

The newly appointed members have taken the decisions in a bid to ensure transparency, fairness and impartiality in the recruitment process for the card and non-card public services, according to the press release.
