
Protest, sit-in- program for separting parliamentary seats in Bagerhat

The district's all-party joint committee has announced a blockade, protest procession and sit-in program in the district in protest of seperating 4 parliamentary seats from Bagerhat district to 3 seats.
Among the announced programs, on August 21, a blockade will be held in Katakhali and Nawapara on the Khulna-Mongla and Mawa-Khulna highways, and on August 24, Katakhali, Nawapara, signboard intersection, DC office and election office on the Khulna-Mongla, Mawa-Khulna, Khulna-Barisal highways. On the same day, a protest and sit-in program was announced in front of the Dhaka Election Commission office. On August 25, a protest procession and sit-in program was announced in front of the Dhaka Election Commission office.
District All-Party Joint Committee Convener Engineer ATM Akram Hossain Talim announced the program at a press conference at Bagerhat Press Club.

At this time, All-Party Committee Member Secretary Sheikh Muhammad Yunus, District BNP Coordinator MA Salam, District Jamaat Amir Mao. Rezaul Karim, BNP Member Secretary Muzaffar Rahman Alam, Jamaat Nayeb Amir Adv. Abdul Wadud, BNP leaders Fakir Tariqul Islam, Waziyar Rahman, Shahed Ali Robi and others were present.
It was announced that if the 4 seats of Bagerhat are not restored in the upcoming Election Commission hearing on August 25, ' Bagerhat Achal program 'will be taken.
