Chitalmari (Bagerhat) Correspondent

A prayer and discussion meeting was held in Chitalmari, Bagerhat, on the occasion of the 89th birth anniversary of "Janatar Zia Chir Amlan" great independence proclaimer, advocate of multi-party democracy, martyred President Ziaur Rahman.

On Sunday at 5 pm, organized by Chitalmari Upazila Volunteer Party, the temporary office of the Upazila Volunteer Party was held at the Shaheed Minar premises under the chairmanship of Niamat Ali Khan, convener of the Upazila Volunteer Party, and Mominul Haque Tulu Biswas, convener of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP Chitalmari Upazila branch, was present as the chief guest. Ahsan Habib Thandu, member secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP Chitalmari Upazila branch, spoke as the main speaker in the meeting.

Among others, Bangladesh Nationalist Youth Party Chitalmari Upazila branch member secretary Sheikh Asaduzzaman, Chitalmari Upazila branch volunteer party member secretary Kashinath Bairagi, Upazila Sramik Dal president Md. Yusuf Ali Sheikh, Upazila Krishak Dal president Md. Shahid Sheikh, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Sher-e-Bangla Degree College branch convener Md. Shahid Mir, Kalatla Union volunteer party convener Hossain Sheikh, Hijla Union Chhatra Dal former president Hiron Kazi spoke. Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP senior joint convener Shoaib Hossain Gazi, joint convener Shipon Munshi, Upazila Sramik Dal general secretary Md. Raju Khan and all leaders and activists of allied organizations were present on the occasion.

Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP Chitalmari Upazila branch convener Mominul Haque Tulu Biswas prayed for the eternal peace of martyred President Ziaur Rahman. The program was hosted by Kashinath Bairagi.
