The Police Commissioner Cup Sports Tournament organized by Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) concluded with enthusiasm, says a press release.

The final match and prize distribution ceremony of the Police Commissioner Cup Sports Tournament 2025 was held at the RMP Police Lines ground organized by Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) at 4 pm on Wednesday.

RMP Police Commissioner Mohammad Abu Sufian, Rajshahi Range DIG Mohammad Shahjahan, PPM (Bar) PhD and Police Women Welfare Association (PUNAK) RMP, Rajshahi President Mahbuba Akhter Shiuli were present as the guests of honour.

In the competitive final match of football, POM Division won the championship by defeating Boalia Crime Division by 3-2 goals, in cricket, POM Division defeated Traffic Division by a huge margin of 104 runs, and in volleyball, POM Division defeated Logistics Division by 2-0 sets. Also, in the women's handball game, SAF Division won the championship by defeating POM Division by 4-1.

Earlier, in the competitive final match of Police Commissioner Cup Badminton held from February 5 to February 11, 2025, Deputy Police Commissioner (Traffic) Md. Noor Alam Siddiqui's pair defeated Officer-in-Charge Boalia Md. Mehedi Masud's pair by 2-0 sets, and Police Inspector Ashish Kumar defeated Deputy Police Commissioner (Traffic) Md. Noor Alam Siddiqui individually by 2-1 sets. In addition, ASI Md. Raju's pair defeated Constable Md. Sabbir's pair in 2-0 sets and ASI Md. Rashed won the championship by defeating Constable Zubair in 2-0 sets.

After the game, the honored guests distributed prizes among the champions, runners-up and individual winners of the tournament.

Congratulating the champions, runners-up and all the participants in the game, the honored guests in their speech emphasized the importance of regular sports and physical exercise to keep the body and mind healthy of the police members.

Additional Police Commissioner (Crime) Nazmul Hasan, PPM, Special Superintendent of Police (Promoted to the post of Additional DIG) Mohammad Khorshed Alam, Deputy Police Commissioner (Sadar) Md. Saifuddin Shaheen, senior officers of RMP and other police members were also present.

It is mentioned that teams from various departments of RMP participated in this competition, which started on February 19 and concluded successfully with the final match today.
