
Pakistan HC in Rangpur : Bangladeshis can get visas within 24 hours

Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh H.E. Syed Ahmed Maruf said that if any Bangladeshi citizen applies for a visa to Pakistan online, he can get visas within 24 hours without any fee in the form of student visa, tourist visa and business visa.
He told reporters while attending a meeting with importers and exporters at the Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Auditorium as the chief guest on Wednesday afternoon.
The Pakistan High Commissioner said that relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan were not good for the past 16 years. The current government is working to increase trade and commerce with Pakistan. We are happy to have recently joined hands with the Bangladesh government. Diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan after August 5 are gradually improving and strengthening. He said that he was happy with this development. He hoped that the relationship would be further strengthened at this time. The Pakistani government is working on exporting duty-free products to Bangladesh.
Pakistan High Commissioner Syed Ahmed Maruf said that the Pakistani government wants to develop not only trade and commerce with Bangladesh, but also people-to-people relations with the two countries, including economy and culture. Through this, the development of the two countries will accelerate. We are very happy to exchange views with the businessmen. We want Bangladeshi businessmen to participate in the trade fair to be held in Pakistan in the future and create a market for their products.
The High Commissioner said to the Bangladeshi businessmen that there is a demand for many products between Bangladesh and Pakistan. He requested the businessmen to verify the demand for the products in both countries. In response to a question about providing tariff and customs benefits for the import and export of various agricultural products and garments, medicines, yarn, labor and manpower produced in the Rangpur region, he said that he will inform and recommend this matter to the Pakistani government.
In a meeting held under the chairmanship of Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industries President Akbar Ali, Rangpur's importers and exporters presented various recommendations for improving trade relations. At the end, a gift was presented to Pakistan's High Commissioner Syed Ahmed Maruf by the leaders of the Rangpur Chamber. Rangpur District Chamber of Commerce and Industries President Akbar Ali, Vice President Mamun Ur Rashid Mamun, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Rangpur Metropolitan Ameer ATM Azam Khan, District Ameer Golam Rabbani, District BNP leader Kawsar Zaman Babla, along with businessmen and journalists were present at the time.
