Licenses have been distributed among new contractors under the jurisdiction of the Narayanganj District Council. On this occasion, a ceremony was held on Wednesday (21 May) at the District Council Hall Room, where Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Islam Mia attended as the chief guest.

 In his speech, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Islam Mia emphasized patriotism, good governance, and development. He said, “If everyone loves the country from their respective positions, then development is possible. If you act responsibly from your position, the next generation will follow your example. Your work will keep you alive among people.”

 He further added, “We must bring about the change ourselves. We need to properly utilize the limited resources of our state. We must be cautious to prevent wastage or misuse of these resources and funds because they belong to you and me. Thinking only about ourselves won't work; we have to think collectively. We don’t want others to give us directions—we have to solve our problems ourselves. The dreams we dream must be realized by us.”

 Highlighting the importance of tree planting to maintain environmental balance, he said, “Everyone should plant trees to maintain ecological balance.”

Expressing his commitment to building a clean and beautiful Narayanganj, the DC said, “Support us in our good initiatives, and together we will build a Green and Clean Narayanganj.”

 The event concluded with a tree planting ceremony. Also present were Narayanganj District Council CEO Hosne Ara Begum, Additional Deputy Commissioner Alomgir Hossain, and other officials.
