Monthly Law, Order Committee meeting held in Dimla

A monthly meeting of the Law and Order Committee of Dimla Upazila was held on Monday, at Dimla Upazila Parishad Hall. The meeting was presided over by UNO Md. Imranuzzaman.
The meeting focused on discussing the current law and order situation, and measures were proposed to strengthen security in the area. Several recommendations were raised for enhancing the safety measures. The meeting was attended by prominent figures, including the President of Dimla Upazila BNP, Prof Monowar Hossain, Upazila Agricultural Officer Mir Hasan Al Banna, Assistant Commissioner of Land & Executive Magistrate Md. Rakibul Islam, OC of Dimla Police Station Md. Fazle Elahi, local elected representatives, government officials, media personnel from print and electronic media, and committee members.
Key issues discussed in the meeting included the overall security situation in the area, anti-drug campaigns, the severe impact of electric shocks and filter traps on fish breeding and biodiversity, smuggling, eve-teasing, the influence of cigarette use, illegal border crossing into India, excessive fees for birth registration, prevention of child and women abuse, preventing child marriage, control over counterfeit goods, eviction of illegal structures along roadsides, and local terrorist activities.
The committee members decided to take immediate steps to implement the proposed actions.
The UNO Md. Imranuzzaman, expressed optimism that such meetings would contribute to improving the law and order situation in Dimla Upazila and ensure public safety.
