Locals form human chain protesting attack on journalist's murder attempt in Rupganj

Locals have formed a human chain and protest march to protest the terrorist attack on Jahangir Mahmud, a member of the Rupganj Press Club and journalist of the Daily Kalbela, and to demand the arrest of the accused terrorists.
They formed the human chain and protest march at Golakandail intersection, the junction of Dhaka-Sylhet and Dhaka bypass highways in the upazila, on Thursday afternoon.
At that time, the locals said in their statements that by tarnishing the name of Chhatra Dal, Yasin Gang has made the local residents vulnerable to looting, extortion and terrorist activities. Jahangir Mahmud, a journalist, was also attacked and injured with bricks for publishing news. He is now in the hospital. And although a case has been filed against those who attacked, the police have not arrested the terrorists involved for mysterious reasons. They are threatening the plaintiff to withdraw the case. Therefore, we demand the immediate arrest of the attackers.
