Khulna Jatiya Party office vandalized, set on fire

Jatiya Party office at Dakbunglow intersection in Khulna was vandalized and set on fire on Saturday evening.
Sheikh Munir-ul-Gia, officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khulna police station, said that a group of agitated protesters attacked the Jatiya Party office at around 6pm.
They threw brickbats at the office and brought two chairs from inside and set those on fire.
The identities of the attackers are yet to be known. A tense situation has been prevailing in the area, leading the owners of nearby areas closing their shops.
Meanwhile, Sajidul Islam Bappy, a leader of the anti-discrimination student movement in Khulna, said that a group of protesters vandalized the Jatiya Party office and clarified that his organization was not involved in the incident.
This is the second attack on Jatiya Party office in two days.
Earlier, on Thursday, a group of individuals under the banner of ‘Anti-Fascist Students, Workers, and People’ carried out at the Jatiya Party's central office in Dhaka.
