JnU students urges to boycott Israeli products

JnU Correspondent

The students of Jagannath University have organized a protest rally and human chain in protest of Israeli atrocities in Palestine.

The rally started at half past twelve in front of the central mosque on Thursday and after circling the entire campus, it concluded in front of the Vice-Chancellor's office. Afterwards, as part of the protest, they boycotted Israeli products.

Speaking to them, the speakers said that Israel has killed nearly 35,000 people in Gaza so far, most of them are women and children. Recently, Israel has been planning an invasion in the city of Rafah, located at the southern border of Gaza, raising fears of severe casualties among civilians. In this situation, the students of Jagannath University are expressing strong condemnation and protest against Israeli atrocities.

Junayed Masud, a student of the Institute of Education and Research, said that supporting Palestine does not require one to be a Muslim. Just as we shed our blood in 1971 as Bengalis, today the blood of Palestinians is being shed. This bloodshed will never go in vain. We will protest against this genocide until it ends. Universities in other countries around the world are also protesting against it.

If one has conscience, they cannot support Israeli genocide. At this time, he criticized Muslim countries, saying that when our brothers are being killed, you remain silent. We are seeking justice from the United Nations and the Western world. We do not know who is behind this attack indirectly. It's nothing but foolishness to seek justice from them in this situation. He appealed to the Muslim world to seek revenge for this attack.

At the end of the speeches, the students collectively boycotted Israeli products. They said that we cannot directly fight Israel, but we can protest through boycotting their products. So from today, we will no longer buy Israeli products.
