Jamalpur Correspondent of Daily Star Liton dies

ABM Aminul Islam Liton, a member of the Jamalpur Zila Press Club and  also English lecturer of Madarganj Shamsunnahar College breathed his last in the morning on Saturday . 


Shoaib Hossain, General Secretary of Jamalpur District Press Club and staff reporter of Jamuna TV, confirmed the death of journalist Liton. He died in the morning of May 1 while undergoing treatment in India.
Liton had been suffering from kidney disease for a long time. A few days ago, he went to India with his wife for a kidney transplant. He and his wife also contracted corona while undergoing treatment. There was no immediate word on when the body would arrive from India.


The death of this talented journalist casts a shadow of mourning on various quarters. All the journalists of the district have prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul of the people of the civil society. He is survived by his wife and two children.
