Jamaat announces candidates for four parliamentary seats in Satkhira

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has announced candidates for four parliamentary constituencies in Satkhira for the 13th National Parliament election. The list of candidates was published by party.

According to party sources, Jamaat Central Executive Council member Principal Md. Izzat Ullah has been elected as the party's candidate for Satkhira-1 (Tala-Kalaroa) constituency, the party's central organizational secretary and Khulna region director Mahaddis Abdul Khalek has been elected as the party's candidate for Satkhira-2 (Sadar) constituency, the party's central Sura member and former Ameer of Satkhira District Jamaat Mahaddis Rabiul Bashar has been elected as the party's candidate for Satkhira-3 (Ashasuni-Debhata and part of Kaliganj) constituency, and Gazi Nazrul Islam, a former Jamaat member of parliament, has been elected as the party's candidate for Satkhira-4 (Shyamnagar and part of Kaliganj).

Satkhira District Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary Md. Azizur Rahman confirmed the matter to the media and said that the names of candidates for four constituencies in Satkhira have been announced as per the decision of the Central Nomination Board. Jamaat's candidates for four parliamentary constituencies in Satkhira were finalized a few days ago with the aim of contesting in the 13th National Parliament election.
