Jagannath University recently hosted a two-day job fair that provided over 200 job and internship opportunities to students on its second day.
Organized by the university’s Career Club, the event featured 35 company stalls offering openings across a variety of sectors.
The fair’s second day was inaugurated on Wednesday by Vice Chancellor Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim. In his opening remarks, Dr. Karim expressed his enthusiasm about the initiative, noting that such a program is being held at Jagannath University for the first time. He also pledged full administrative support to expand similar initiatives in the future.
Students actively engaged with company representatives by submitting their CVs and participating in on-the-spot interviews. “I have submitted my CV at one of the stalls. These fairs are extremely beneficial for students as they provide direct access to job and internship opportunities right on campus,” said student Mohammad Roushon.
Shahriar Iman, President of the Jagannath University Career Club, added that the event is part of the “National Job Junction-2025” initiative at the university. “We are committed to hosting this effective program annually, as it greatly benefits our student community by bridging the gap between academic learning and professional opportunities,” he stated.
The job fair underscores Jagannath University’s commitment to enhancing career readiness among its students by connecting them with leading employers from various industries.
