
Health Adviser visits site for China’s 1,000-bed Hospital in Nilphamari

Health Adviser Nurjahan Begum visited the site allocated for the construction of a 1,000-bed hospital, gifted by the Government of China on Saturday afternoon.
She inspected 25 acres of khas land adjacent to the textile mill in Charai Khola Union of Nilphamari Sadar.
During the visit, Director General of Health Services Professor Dr. Md. Abu Jafar, Nilphamari Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nayiruzzaman, Additional Superintendent of Police Fazlur Rahman Mohsin, Local Government Department Deputy Director Saidul Islam, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Saiful Islam, and Civil Surgeon Dr. Abdur Razzak were present.
Also present were District BNP Convener Mir Selim Faruk and Member Secretary AHM Saifullah Rubel, District Jamaat Nayeb-e-Ameer Dr. Khairul Anam, and Jatiya Nagorik Party Chief Coordinator Abdul Majid.
Later, the Health Adviser visited the 20-bed Leprosy Hospital located at Notkhana in Nilphamari Sadar.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nayiruzzaman said that a proposal has been sent to allocate 24.89 acres of land in Arazi Charai Khola and Darowani Mouza of Sadar Upazila for the construction of the 1,000-bed hospital as a gift from the Chinese government.
