Half a dozen BNP leaders released in Shibganj

Half a dozen BNP leaders have been dismissed from party posts in Shibganj, Bogura. Ignoring the decision of the Central BNP and participating in the Upazila Parishad election process, they were dismissed from the party post.
The exempted leaders are Shibganj Sadar Union BNP Vice President Kamruzzaman Saki, members Zahid Mandal and Abdul Mannan. Majhihatta Union BNP General Secretary Akbar Ali Talukdar, Joint General Secretary Rana Sonar and Atmul Union BNP Vice President Touhidul Islam Thanda. The matter was confirmed in the notification signed by Acting General Secretary of Shibganj Upazila BNP Adv Abdul Wahab on the evening of May 20.
In this regard, Acting General Secretary of Shibganj Upazila BNP Adv Abdul Wahab said that in the 3rd phase of the one-sided upazila parishad elections to be held on 29th May 2024, they have been dismissed from the party post due to clear evidence of participating in Shibganj upazila parishad election activities by ignoring the decision of the central BNP and violating the constitution of the party.
