Govt employees to receive dearness allowance

Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Md Mokhles Ur Rahman, has said that government officials and employees will receive a dearness allowance.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday on the report of the Dearness Allowance and Deprivation Elimination Committee, Mokhles Ur Rahman said that employees on post-retirement leave will also be entitled to this allowance, marking a significant extension of the benefit.
He further explained that the Finance Department has already constituted a committee to decide the percentage of the dearness allowance that will be provided to government employees.
The committee is expected to finalise the details soon.
